Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Trimble County Raiders (Bedford, KY) and the visiting Atherton Ravens (Louisville, KY), observed Trimble County's volleyball team hold off Atherton by a count of 2-1.

The Raiders (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Johnson Central was tipped by Floyd Central (Eastern, KY), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Ravens meet the Western Hills Wolverines (Frankfort, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 14. Atherton will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Wolverines enter the contest with a 8-5 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Henry Clay (Lexington, KY).
