In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Banning Pilots volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Centennial Apaches.

The Pilots (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Rancho Dominguez (Long Beach, CA). The Lobos enter the Marine challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Rancho Dominguez was beaten by Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Apaches meet the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 14. Centennial will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Serra (Gardena, CA).
