Warren Bears (Downey, CA) supporters were in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball team top the visiting Del Lago Academy Firebirds (Escondido, CA), 2-0 in a non-league contest.

The Bears (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gahr (Cerritos, CA). The Gladiators enter the non-league contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Gahr notched a victory over Whittier (Whittier, CA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Firebirds battle the San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 14. Del Lago Academy will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Pirates enter the contest with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to North (Torrance, CA).
