The Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) volleyball held off the host Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Aztecs now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to El Capitan for a non-league bout on Friday, September 13. Esperanza will clash with a Vaqueros team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to High Tech SD (San Diego, CA). The Vaqueros record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Florence drops to 9-8 on the campaign. The Gophers travel to Otay Ranch (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Friday, September 13. The Mustangs come into the outing with a record of 5-4. Otay Ranch lost 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Christian (El Cajon, CA)
