Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Saint Joseph Jesters (Lakewood, CA) and the host St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA), observed Saint Joseph's volleyball team hold off St. Anthony by a count of 2-1.

The Jesters (14-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA). The Lancers enter the Del Rey contest with a 19-10 record. In their last contest, Bishop Amat was tipped by Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Saints meet the Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 14. St. Anthony will attempt to move on its 12-9 season record. The Toreadors enter the contest with a 12-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Marshall (Los Angeles, CA).
