Kempsville Chiefs (Virginia Beach, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Kecoughtan Warriors (Hampton, VA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Kempsville improves its record to 8-1 on the season. The Chiefs host Granby (Norfolk, VA) to face the Comets in a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Granby won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA)

Next, the Warriors meet the Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Kecoughtan will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Monarchs go into the test with a 5-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Heritage (Newport News, VA).
