The Bethpage Golden Eagles football squad scored 33 points and limited the host Elmont Memorial Spartans to 12 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Manhasset for a Section 8 Conference III test on Saturday, September 20. Bethpage will meet a Indians squad coming off a 35-17 league loss to Division (Levittown, NY). The Indians record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Elmont Memorial drops to 0-1 on the season. The Spartans host Wantagh (Wantagh, NY) to face the Warriors in a Section 8 Conference IV challenge on Saturday, September 20. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Wantagh won 28-13 in their recent league challenge against Valley Stream North (Franklin Square, NY)
