New Hampshire High School Football - Somersworth can't hold off Epping/Newmarket

In Saturday's league match, the host Epping/Newmarket Devils football squad scored a close 26-20 triumph over the Somersworth Toppers.

The Devils (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Gilford (Gilford, NH). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Gilford was nudged by Laconia (Laconia, NH), 15-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Toppers confront the Sanborn Regional Indians (Kingston, NH) in a Division III - East match, on Friday, September 19. Somersworth will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Indians go into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 52-29 league loss to Campbell (Litchfield, NH).
