Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Laguna Creek Cardinals (Elk Grove, CA) and the host Bishop Manogue Miners (Reno, NV), observed Laguna Creek's volleyball team hold off Bishop Manogue by a tally of 2-1.

The Cardinals (8-3) will now prepare for their test against River City (West Sacramento, CA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, River City was edged by Vacaville (Vacaville, CA), 2-0, in a league test.

The Miners now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Douglas for a test on Thursday, September 18.
