In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Woodcreek Timberwolves volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Bishop Manogue Miners.

The Timberwolves (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Vacaville (Vacaville, CA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Vacaville tipped River City (West Sacramento, CA), 2-0, in a league test.

The Miners now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Laguna Creek for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 13. Bishop Manogue will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 2-0 league win over Sheldon (Sacramento, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-2.
