Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Granite Bay Grizzlies (Granite Bay, CA) and the host Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA), observed Granite Bay's volleyball team hold off Ponderosa by a count of 2-1.

The Grizzlies (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Oak Ridge tipped Whitney (Rocklin, CA), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Bruins now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christian Brothers for a battle on Monday, September 22.
