In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Normal Community Ironmen soccer squad scored a tight 6-2 victory over the Edwardsville Tigers.
The Ironmen (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL). The Irish go into the Big Twelve outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Peoria Notre Dame by Naperville North (Naperville, IL), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL) in a Southwestern outing, on Tuesday, September 16. Edwardsville will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Redbirds come into the test with a 4-4 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL).
