In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Father McGivney Catholic Griffins soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 victory over the Highland Bulldogs.

The Griffins (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Maryville Christian (Maryville, IL). The Lions go into the Gateway Metro outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Maryville Christian got by Carlinville (Carlinville, IL), 4-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 15. Highland will attempt to advance on its 8-3 season record. The Trojans come into the game with a 3-5 record after their 7-1 league loss to Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL).
