In Saturday's non-league contest, the Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN) soccer team routed the visiting Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks (Hammond, IN), by a count of 6-1.

Next, the Cherokees battle the Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 15. Morgan Township will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Red Devils enter the contest with a 7-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Illiana Christian (Dyer, IN).
