Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) and the host Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL), saw Sterling's soccer squad triumph over Kewanee by a count of 7-0.

The Golden Warriors (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against East Moline United (East Moline, IL). The Panthers enter the Western Big 6 battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, East Moline United was overwhelmed by Dunlap (Dunlap, IL), 3-0, in a non-league match.

The Boilermakers now sport a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they host Illinois Valley Central for a non-league match on Monday, September 15. Kewanee will meet a Grey Ghosts team coming off a 2-1 league loss to St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Grey Ghosts record now stands at 5-4.
