Illinois High School Soccer - Proviso East nudges Plainfield South

In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Proviso East Pirates soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 win over the Plainfield South Cougars.
The Pirates (3-4) will now prepare for their outing against Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL). The Mustangs enter the West Suburban - Gold test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Berwyn/Cicero Morton nipped Chaminade (St. Louis, MO), 4-0, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oak Forest for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. Plainfield South will clash with a Bengals team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Cristo Rey Jesuit (Chicago, IL). The Bengals record now stands at 2-4.
