The Gross Catholic Cougars overwhelmed the host Fairbury Jeffs softball squad by a count of 12-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 13. Gross Catholic will attempt to move on its 6-11 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the outing with a 4-9 record after their 8-2 league loss to Elkhorn South (Omaha, NE).

With the loss, Fairbury moves to 4-13 on the season. The Jeffs host Malcolm (Malcolm, NE) to meet the Clippers in a C District test on Tuesday, September 16. The Clippers go into the test with a record of 8-8. Malcolm won 8-1 in their recent non-league test against St. Paul (St. Paul, NE)
