Fort Zumwalt East Lions (St. Peters, MO) fans exited the stadium satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their softball team tip the visiting Hazelwood West Wildcats (Hazelwood, MO), 6-4 in a non-league match.

The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Fort Zumwalt South (St. Peters, MO). The Bulldogs come into the Class 4 District 7 match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Fort Zumwalt South by Winfield (Winfield, MO), 10-0, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Howell Central Spartans (St. Charles, MO) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 13. Hazelwood West will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record.
