Colorado High School Softball - Horizon Mead

The Horizon Hawks softball squad (Thornton, CO), was routed 13-9 in Saturday's league contest with the visiting Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO)

With the triumph, Mead improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Erie (Erie, CO) to face the Tigers in a 5A/4A/3A Granite Peaks contest on Thursday, September 18. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 11-3.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Frederick Golden Eagles (Frederick, CO) in a 5A/4A/3A Granite Peaks match, on Tuesday, September 16. Horizon will attempt to better on its 9-5 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the match with a 10-3 record after their 12-3 league win over Monarch (Louisville, CO).
