The Lamar Thunder softball squad (Lamar, CO), was nipped 4-3 in Saturday's non-league match with the visiting Palmer Ridge Bears (Monument, CO)

The Bears (10-2) will now prepare for their match against Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO). The Rangers go into the 4A Pikes Peak match with a 2-11 record. In their last match, Lewis-Palmer was nipped by Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO), 11-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Thunder battle the Pueblo Central Wildcats (Pueblo, CO) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 13. Lamar will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the match with a 9-3 record after their 10-4 league win over Pueblo East (Pueblo, CO).
