Illinois High School Volleyball - Althoff Catholic edged by Sacred Heart-Griffin

The Althoff Catholic Crusaders volleyball squad (Belleville, IL), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL)

With the win, Sacred Heart-Griffin improves its record to 6-5 on the season. The Cyclones travel to Rochester (Rochester, IL) to battle the Rockets in a Central State Eight contest on Tuesday, September 16. The Rockets enter the contest with a record of 9-1. Rochester won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Taylorville (Taylorville, IL)

Next, the Crusaders battle the Maryville Christian Lions (Maryville, IL) in a Gateway Metro contest, on Tuesday, September 16. Althoff Catholic will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 6-1 record after their 2-0 league win over Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL).
