Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Amory Panthers (Amory, MS) and the host West Lowndes Panthers (Columbus, MS), observed Amory's volleyball team top West Lowndes by a count of 2-0.
The Panthers (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Berry (Berry, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Berry dropped by Sumiton Christian (Sumiton, AL), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heritage Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. West Lowndes will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Grace Christian (Louisville, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 12-20.
