In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Barnum Bombers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Verndale Pirates.

The Bombers (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Staples-Motley (Staples, MN). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, Staples-Motley went down by Perham (Perham, MN), 3-0, in a league test.

The Pirates now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crosby-Ironton for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. Verndale will play a Rangers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Braham (Braham, MN). The Rangers record now stands at 6-1.
