Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Johnson County Longhorns (Mountain City, TN) and the visiting Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY), observed Johnson County's volleyball team hold off Bell County by a tally of 2-1.

The Longhorns (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN). The Black Knights go into the AA District 1 test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Chuckey-Doak tipped Cocke County (Newport, TN), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Bobcats now own a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clay County for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. Bell County will meet a Tigers team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Jackson County (McKee, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 5-10.
