Marine City Mariners (Marine City, MI) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Berkley Bears (Berkley, MI), 2-1 in a non-league outing.
The Mariners now have a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Richmond for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 13. Marine City will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-10.
The Bears (6-7) will now prepare for their game against North Farmington (Farmington Hills, MI). The Raiders go into the Oakland - White game with a 4-9 record. In their last game, North Farmington was edged by Lake Orion (Lake Orion, MI), 2-1, in a non-league game.
