Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers (Salinas, CA) and the host Ceiba College Preparatory Academy Spartans (Watsonville, CA), observed Rancho San Juan's volleyball team top Ceiba College Preparatory Academy by a count of 2-0.

The Trailblazers (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Marina (Marina, CA). The Mariners go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Marina dropped by Clovis West (Fresno, CA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Spartans now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oakwood for a Pacific Coast - Santa Lucia contest on Monday, September 15. Ceiba College Preparatory Academy will meet a Hawks team coming off a 3-2 league win over Monterey Bay Academy (La Selva Beach, CA). The Hawks record now stands at 5-3.
