In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Kennedy Cougars.

The Stormin' Pointers (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Pleasant Valley was nudged by North Scott (Eldridge, IA), 3-2, in a league outing.

With the loss, Kennedy drops to 7-8 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA) to play the Spartans in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 13. The Spartans come into the outing with a record of 7-3. Pleasant Valley lost 3-2 in their recent league outing against North Scott (Eldridge, IA)
