In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Cheboygan Chiefs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Pellston Hornets.

The Chiefs (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Carman-Ainsworth was beaten by Davison (Davison, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Bay City Western Warriors (Auburn, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Pellston will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to Midland (Midland, MI).
