Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Peoria Christian Chargers (Peoria, IL) and the host Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), observed Peoria Christian's volleyball team hold off Clinton by a count of 2-1.

The Chargers (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Lowpoint-Washburn was edged by Earlville (Earlville, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Maroons now own a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Monticello for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 15. Clinton will meet a Sages team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Macomb (Macomb, IL). The Sages record now stands at 7-5.
