Spectators at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pioneer Pioneers (Ann Arbor, MI) and the visiting Columbia Central Golden Eagles (Brooklyn, MI), witnessed Pioneer's volleyball team overcome Columbia Central by a tally of 2-0.
The Pioneers (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Norrix (Kalamazoo, MI). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Norrix was beaten by Gull Lake (Richland, MI), 3-1, in a league test.
The Golden Eagles now have a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bath for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 13. Columbia Central will play a Fighting Bees team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Fowler (Fowler, MI). The Fighting Bees record now stands at 11-3.
