The Newaygo Lions volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Evart Wildcats to 0 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Morley Stanwood for a Central State outing on Saturday, September 13. Newaygo will play a Mohawks team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Montague (Montague, MI). The Mohawks record now stands at 11-9.
