In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Fairmont Cardinals.
The Knights (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Kenyon-Wanamingo achieved victory over Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN), 3-0, in a league test.
The Cardinals now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glencoe-Silver Lake for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. Fairmont will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over New London-Spicer (New London, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 4-2.
