In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host North Butler Bearcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals.

The Bearcats (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA). The Huskies enter the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Lake Mills Bulldogs (Lake Mills, IA) in a Top of Iowa West test, on Tuesday, September 16. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 10-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Clarksville (Clarksville, IA).
