Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR) and the host Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR), observed Joseph's volleyball team top Grant Union by a count of 2-0.

The Eagles (13-2) will now prepare for their contest against Powder Valley (North Powder, OR). The Badgers enter the 1A Old Oregon contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Powder Valley notched a victory over Elgin (Elgin, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Prospectors now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prairie City for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. Grant Union will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR). The Panthers record now stands at 8-4.
