Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Thief River Falls Prowlers (Thief River Falls, MN) and the host Hancock Owls (Hancock, MN), observed Thief River Falls's volleyball team hold off Hancock by a tally of 2-1.

The Prowlers (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hawley (Hawley, MN). The Nuggets enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Hawley got by Barnesville (Barnesville, MN), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Owls meet the Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators (Badger, MN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 13. Hancock will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Gators go into the test with a 7-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Sacred Heart (East Grand Forks, MN).
