Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs (Horseshoe Bend, ID) and the host Malad Dragons (Malad, ID), observed Horseshoe Bend's volleyball team hold off Malad by a count of 2-1.

The Mustangs (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against The Ambrose School (Meridian, ID). The Archers enter the non-league contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, The Ambrose School got by Marsing (Marsing, ID), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Dragons now own a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Declo for a 3A South East Idaho contest on Wednesday, September 17. Malad will meet a Hornets team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Nampa Christian (Nampa, ID). The Hornets record now stands at 7-5.
