In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Humboldt Wildcats.

The Go-Hawks (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA). The Vikings come into the Northeast Iowa challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Decorah-North Winneshiek was nudged by Independence (Independence, IA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats face the Fort Dodge Dodgers (Fort Dodge, IA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 16. Humboldt will attempt to advance on its 12-2 season record. The Dodgers go into the game with a 1-6 record after their 3-2 league loss to Mason City (Mason City, IA).
