In Saturday's non-league test, the visiting Independence Bulldogs volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Madison Bulldogs.

With the win, Independence advances its record to 5-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS) to face the Dragons in a Southeast Kansas test on Tuesday, September 16. The Dragons go into the test with a record of 4-0. Pittsburg won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Girard (Girard, KS)

Next, the Bulldogs play the Lebo Wolves (Lebo, KS) in a Lyon County challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Madison will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Jayhawk Linn (Mound City, KS).
