In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Lakeland Cavaliers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks.
The Cavaliers (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Tournament Team (, ). The go into the non-league test with a 3-17 record. In their last test, Tournament Team went down by Highlands Christian (Pompano Beach, FL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Mighty Oaks now sport a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denbigh Baptist Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. Norfolk Collegiate will face a Minutemen squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Greenbrier Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA). The Minutemen record now stands at 7-4.
