Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars (Lyons, NE) and the visiting Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE), observed Lyons-Decatur Northeast's volleyball team hold off Ponca by a count of 2-1.

With the win, Lyons-Decatur Northeast improves its record to 3-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Pierce (Pierce, NE) to encounter the Bluejays in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. The Bluejays go into the battle with a record of 5-3. Pierce won 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Cedar Catholic (Hartington, NE)

The Indians now own a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tekamah-Herman for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 13. Ponca will face a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Pierce (Pierce, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 1-9.
