The Manatee Hurricanes volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Pasco Pirates to 0 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hurricanes now have a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeland for a non-league game on Saturday, September 13. Manatee will confront a Dreadnaughts squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Auburndale (Auburndale, FL). The Dreadnaughts record now stands at 1-4.
The Pirates (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Fivay (Hudson, FL). The Falcons go into the 5A District 9 game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Fivay was dropped by Frostproof (Frostproof, FL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
