North Carolina High School Volleyball - McMichael edged by Southwestern Randolph

The McMichael Phoenix volleyball team (Mayodan, NC), was nudged 3-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC)

The Cougars (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC). The Cowboys come into the non-league test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Southwest Guilford nudged East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Phoenix now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morehead for a Mid-State 3A/4A/5A outing on Tuesday, September 16. McMichael will play a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 4-5.
