The Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) volleyball knocked off the host Oak Ridge Wildcats (Oak Ridge, TN), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 14-14 record. They play next when they travel to Mount Pisgah Christian for a 1A Area 5 bout on Tuesday, September 16. Mount Vernon will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to The King's Academy (Woodstock, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 20-12.

With the loss, Oak Ridge drops to 3-16 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Powell (Powell, TN) to battle the Panthers in a AAA District 3 contest on Tuesday, September 16. The Panthers enter the contest with a record of 8-7. Powell lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Henry Clay (Lexington, KY)
