Illinois High School Volleyball - Mt. Zion over Tri-City

In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mt. Zion Braves volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Tri-City Tornadoes.

The Braves (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Greenwave enter the Apollo challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Mattoon was beaten by Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tornadoes meet the MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Tri-City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Generals enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Olympia (Stanford, IL).
