Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Myrtle Point Bobcats (Myrtle Point, OR) and the visiting Taft Tigers (Lincoln City, OR), observed Myrtle Point's volleyball team top Taft by a count of 2-0.

The Bobcats (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Waldport (Waldport, OR). The Irish go into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Waldport dropped by Toledo (Toledo, OR), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Tigers now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scio for a 3A PacWest battle on Tuesday, September 16. Taft will encounter a Loggers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Jefferson (Jefferson, OR). The Loggers record now stands at 2-4.
