Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lightning (14-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA). The Breakers come into the Pacific Coast challenge with a 7-16 record. In their last challenge, Laguna Beach was nudged by Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Eastlake Titans (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Newbury Park will attempt to advance on its 18-5 season record. The Titans go into the game with a 3-6 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Westview (San Diego, CA).
