In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Waverly Central Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Northwest Vikings.
The Tigers (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Fairview (Fairview, TN). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Fairview beat Houston County (Erin, TN), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Vikings meet the Houston County Fighting Irish (Erin, TN) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 16. Northwest will attempt to advance on its 8-6 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the test with a 10-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Perry County (Linden, TN).
