The Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) volleyball held off the visiting Rancho San Juan Trailblazers (Salinas, CA), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Chieftains now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to King City for a Pacific Coast - Gabilan bout on Tuesday, September 16. Palma will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Leland (San Jose, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Rancho San Juan falls to 8-2 on the year. The Trailblazers travel to Pacific Collegiate (Santa Cruz, CA) to battle the Pumas in a Pacific Coast - Cypress match on Tuesday, September 16. The Pumas enter the match with a record of 0-0.
