In Wednesday's league game, the Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY) soccer squad overwhelmed the host Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY), by a final score of 5-0.
The Cardinals (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Sayre (Lexington, KY). The Spartans go into the District 42 challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Sayre tipped Bourbon County (Paris, KY), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
The Defenders now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin County for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 19. Bryan Station will confront a Flyers team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY). The Flyers record now stands at 3-6.
