Howard Huskies (Macon, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Central Chargers (Macon, GA), 15-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Westside for a 4A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, September 15. Howard will battle a Seminoles squad coming off a 22-0 league loss to Griffin (Griffin, GA). The Seminoles record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Central falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Chargers host Rutland (Macon, GA) to battle the Hurricanes in a 2A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, September 15. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. Rutland won 14-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA)
